Founded in Kilmarnock, Scotland in 1840, Andrew Barclay Sons & Co was a well-known manufacturer of steam, fire-less and diesel locomotives. As a sign of the popularity of the brand among railwayana enthusiasts, many Barclay locomotives have been preserved and restored, and can be viewed at various heritage railway centres around the UK.
The sign itself is oval in shape and is finished in hand-painted blue with white lettering. The railway plaque comes with pre-drilled holes, making it easy to hang in a garage, workshop, or outside in the garden or yard.
